Kinship Carer Service

The Kinship Carer Service (KCS) supports Yolŋu families to keep children within their family homes or with close family. 

 

We work at the grassroots level in the communities of Galiwin'ku, Gapuwiyak, Milingimbi and Ramingining and their homelands to connect families with the necessary services to keep children within their family homes.

 ​

The KCS also identifies and recruits Yolŋu family members to qualify to become recognised kinship carers to support children to maintain cultural connections and practices.
